An article at NewsOK.com on April 4, 2010 highlights a growing problem among Oklahoma Seniors:  Financial Exploitation of the Elderly.  After the article was published more stories emerge.  See this follow up story:   Help available to foil financial exploitation

Did you know Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma has a Senior Law Project that works to help seniors across Oklahoma?

Legal Aid presents educational information at Senior Nutrition Sites, publishes materials for Seniors about the problems that effect older Americans, prepare wills or other documents such as Powers of Attorney, and even represent Seniors who can't afford to pay for private lawyers.

We have offices all across Oklahoma.  Here's how to talk to a Legal Aid Services Senior Law Project lawyer if you age 60 or older:

1 - Do you live in Oklahoma or Canadian counties?   Call 405-557-0014

2 - Do you live in Northeastern Oklahoma? (Tulsa, Rogers, Creek, Mayes, Okfuskee, Okmulgee, Pawnee, Craig, Ottawa, Delaware and Osage counties)    Call  918-428-4357 (HELP) or 888-534-5243

3 - Do you live in another county?  Call your local Legal Aid office.  Here are the numbers:
