On Saturday, April 24th, Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, Inc. participated in a community-wide effort to help prepare simple wills and provide will and probate advice to clients.
Through special funding from Area Agencies on Aging, Legal Aid serves seniors through its Senior Law Project. Legal Aid provides free legal advice, counseling, and community education for seniors 60 years of age or older. Held at Langston University’s Oklahoma City Campus, “Make A Will Saturday” proved to be a huge success as 80 wills, 64 advanced directives, $100,000 in services and 200 hours of services were provided. More than 100 people and 11 different area churches participated.
