New Volunteer Project Begins in Tulsa County - CAP

Need a volunteer activity that can be wrapped up in one day?
No planning, no huge time commitment.... just the ability to help someone in need and get back to your practice.
Interested?

The Tulsa County Bar Association's Pro Bono Committee and Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, Inc. has just started a "Courthouse Assistance Program" (CAP):

Cap 2 that day.
  • Limited legal assistance
  • individuals who cannot afford a lawyer
  • FED (Eviction) Docket
  • volunteer represents (qualifying low-income) clients during settlement negotiation following the docket call
  • if necessary, at the hearing
  • no further responsibility for represention, 
    Legal Aid will provide training for all attorneys who volunteer to assist with CAP. 
    This training will be free and provide CLE credit.
